Short version: no account, no cookies, no tracking, no third party services in your browser. Your uploads are processed automatically and deleted after 72 hours.

2. Visiting this website
When you open a page, your browser sends technical data to our server: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. We need this to deliver the website and to protect it against attacks.
- Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a secure and working website.
- Storage: server log files are deleted after 14 days, unless a log entry is needed to investigate a specific attack.
All fonts, scripts and images of this website are served from our own server. Your browser does not connect to Google, social networks or any other third party while you use the site.
3. Converting a page
When you convert a page, we process the files or code you upload, the converted page, screenshots of both and the files you can download. Your original and the converted WordPress page are also available as a live preview, reachable only through your private result link.
- Purpose: to perform the conversion you asked for and to show you the result.
- Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (providing the service you request).
- Storage: everything that belongs to a conversion is deleted automatically 72 hours after the upload. There are no backups of uploads or results.
- Access: processing is fully automatic. Nobody looks at your files, unless illegal content is reported, an attack has to be investigated, or you ask us for help with a specific conversion.
- No other use: we do not use your uploads for any other purpose, do not share them and do not use them to train software or AI models.
Please only upload pages you are allowed to use, and avoid personal data of other people in them. If a page contains personal data (for example names or photos of a team), it is processed only as described above.
During the conversion, our server loads resources your page links to, for example web fonts or images from other servers. These requests come from our server, not from your browser, and contain no data about you.
4. Abuse protection
To keep the free service available, we limit the number of conversions per person and day. For this we use your IP address in a form that cannot be read back: a one way hash with a key that changes every day. These values are kept in memory only and are gone after 24 hours at the latest. Before an upload, your browser solves a small calculation (proof of work) instead of a captcha. No third party captcha service is used.
- Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is protecting the service against overload and misuse.
5. Usage numbers
We count how many conversions are started, finished and downloaded per day, and how long they take. These numbers contain no IP address, no identifier and no content and cannot be linked to you. We use them to plan capacity and to see whether the service is used.
6. Storage in your browser
We do not use cookies. To show your recent conversions on the convert page, your browser keeps the links to them in its local storage. This data never leaves your device, is only used for this list and is removed from the list when the result expires. You can delete it at any time in your browser settings. The storage is technically necessary for this function you use (§ 165 (3) Telekommunikationsgesetz 2021).
7. Videos
Our intro video is served from our own server. If we embed videos from YouTube, they only load after you click on them. Only then does your browser connect to YouTube (Google Ireland Limited), which may process your IP address and set cookies. Legal basis is your consent by clicking, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.
8. Contacting us by email
If you write to us, we use your email address and message to answer you. Legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (answering your request) or Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR if it concerns the use of the service. We delete the correspondence when it is no longer needed, at the latest after three years, unless we must keep it longer by law.
9. Hosting and recipients
This website and the conversion service, including its database and the test WordPress installation, run on a server we rent from netcup GmbH, Emmy-Noether-Straße 10, 76131 Karlsruhe, Germany. Server location: Nuremberg, Germany.
- Purpose: server infrastructure to provide the website and the conversion service.
- Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where the processing is needed for a conversion you request, otherwise Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is a reliable and secure operation of the service.
- Data processing agreement: we have concluded a data processing agreement with this provider (Art. 28 GDPR). The provider processes data only on our behalf and according to our instructions.
We do not transfer data to countries outside the EU and EEA and we do not sell data.
10. Your rights
You have the right to access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR). Write to [contact email]. Because we do not ask for your name and only keep conversions for 72 hours, please send the result link if your request concerns a conversion.
If you think we handle your data unlawfully, you can complain to a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40 to 42, 1030 Vienna, www.dsb.gv.at.
11. No automated decisions
We do not make decisions about you based solely on automated processing, including profiling, within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR.
12. Changes
We update this policy when the service changes. The current version is always on this page.
